In deep

Splinters of time in my hand.
Sweet shards of light and memory.
Lay me down.
Cut me up.
Swallow the chunks of the soul and saffron.
Why do you dazzle in the dark.
Who do you pray to in the silence?
Take me down to the shore.
And come with me under waves.
Baptised and cleansed in the tears in tempo.
Dancing to the sound of God.
